Graduate Student, Translational Biology, Medicine, and Health, Virginia Tech

As a doctoral candidate, he is facilitating the collaboration between the Neuromotor Research Clinic and the Kevin P Granata Biomechanics Lab in Blacksburg. He is interested in exploring the kinetic, kinematic and symmetric characteristics that impact functionality for children with disabilities. Extracurricularly, Hassan is involved in various outreach and recruitment efforts on behalf of the TBMH graduate program; engaging with an array of graduate and undergraduate students to increase collaboration, inclusion and diversity at Virginia Tech and the greater Roanoke/Blacksburg community. Future directions for Hassan include the development of a gait-specific therapeutic protocol and the inclusion of visual biofeedback mechanisms to create interactive environments for treatment.
