Senior Administrative Assistant, Fralin Biomedical Research Institute

Laura Bateman is the research and administrative coordinator for Drs. Sharon and Craig Ramey and Stephanie DeLuca, as well as the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute’s Neuromotor Research Clinic. Laura received her bachelors degree in family and child development from Virginia Tech and is certified as a clinical research coordinator. She has been working at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute since February 2011 and was a member of the founding team for the Neuromotor Research Clinic. She has served as the coordinator for numerous clinical trials, assists in the preparation of publications and grant applications, and helps coordinate many and varied training activities. Currently, she serves as the primary study coordinator for a 12-site clinical trial funded by the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) and interacts with professionals across the globe. She enjoys helping develop and grow the mission of the clinic because of the impact intensive pediatric rehabilitation can make in the lives of children impacted by neuromotor impairments.
