Oestreich Lab Team Members Present Research at Annual VTCRI Retreat
Dr. Paul McDonald, a research scientist in the Oestreich lab, gave a platform presentation on his ongoing research project at the annual VTCRI retreat, held at The Hotel Roanoke on November 2nd, 2015. Michael Powell, a graduate student in the Oestreich lab, and Kaitlin Read, the Laboratory Coordinator/Research Specialist for the Oestreich lab also presented posters of their ongoing research projects.

Ian Cooley Honored with Letter of Distinction in Research from VTCSOM
Ian Cooley, an M3 medical student in the Oestreich lab, was honored with a Letter of Distinction in Research from VTCSOM at the Student Clinician’s Ceremony on July 1st, 2015.
Dr. Kenneth Oestreich Recognized with International Award
Dr. Ken Oestreich was recognized by the American Association of Immunologists with the Pfizer-Showell Travel Award, which recognizes the professional promise of an early career investigator by assisting the award recipient with travel to the AAI annual meeting to present their research. This award is supported through an endowment from Henry J. Showell and Pfizer, Inc.

Dr. Paul McDonald Honored with NEB Passion in Science Award
Dr. Paul McDonald, a research scientist in the Oestreich Lab, was recognized as a Humanitarian Duty Award winner, as part of the inaugural New England Biolabs Passion in Science Awards.
