Sam Bircher receives a Letter of Distinction for Research from the VTC School of Medicine

Sam received this honor for his work on using serial block face scanning electron microscopy to image retinal terminals in 2 regions of the mouse visual thalamus. In addition to the letter of distinction Sam presented his results in a talk entitled “Nuclei-specific differences in nerve terminal distribution and morphology in mouse visual thalamus” at the 2015 VTCSOM Medical Student Research Symposium.
