The Farris lab is located at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute (FBRI) at the Virginia Tech Health Sciences and Technology Campus in Roanoke, VA. We are a part of the Center for Neurobiology Research at the FBRI and the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Pathobiology in the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. We are also affiliated with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and the Virginia Tech School of Neuroscience.
The lab focuses on understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying learning and how these processes are disrupted in neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder and schizophrenia.
